Not an easy decision

After a great deal of thought last night, I decided to not start this year's race. There were half a dozen times yesterday where the pain was enough to make me react by either simply putting my head down and whincing or getting off the bike entirely. One of those times happened while eating blueberries but several happened while eating nothing at all. The tooth that received the most recent work is just really agitated and I worried that I wouldn't have fun or be able to eat well enough along the way. I think it's best to let my mouth recover fully and then re-evaluate things. Thank you so much to everyone for the kind words of encouragement. Talk to you all soon.
